- Native To Western Africa, The Bleeding Heart White Is A Twining Evergreen That Can Grow To 10’ Tall, Dependent On The Trellis, With Glossy, Dark Green Oval Leaves That Are Approximately 7” Long And Slightly Flat White Calyxes That Inflate Like A Balloon From Which A Crimson Corollas With Prominent Stamens Extend Way Beyond The Petals. The White Calyxes Are Shaped Like A Heart And The Crimson Corollas Depict A Bleeding Heart, Hence Its Name. The Bleeding Heart White Is A Bushy Climber Which Provides Privacy If Grown On A Trellis Or Fence And It Can Be Displayed In A Hanging Basket Or Container To Allow The Plant To Mound On Itself.
