Native to the South Pacific, the Acalypha Louisiana Red is a large, coppery perennial bush that grows most intense when they receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. The name is derived from the color being as hot as the Louisiana summer sun and it grows to approximately 5’ tall. The Louisiana Red is an evergreen with glossy texture that can be used as a summer shrub, container plant, or anywhere a low maintenance, season long color is desired.
